Truny the Warlock on: Tanking Prince Keleseth in Blood Council

Sweet Revenge! I had failed to aggro an extra cloud two days ago and got one-shotted and everyone wiped grr!

Oh wait what is this? This is the Blood Prince Council in ICC. Blah blah blah if you want the full fight mechanics go somewhere else blah blah.

Prince Keleseth. If your group decides on a ranged tank and you are that ranged tank, pay attention.

1. Pull Initial Aggro on Keleseth to get him off the other tanks pulling the other two princes. Use a shadowbolt or searing pain, anything until he starts firing at you.

2. You don't really need to spec or wear anything special since the only time you will be taking damage (hopefully) will be the first 30 seconds or LESS of the fight. Aka the initial pull before you grab Dark Nuclei. I went in with about 30k hp raid buffed, and that's normal (which is kinda weird..)

3. Dark Nuclei. They spawn all over the room and they aggro whoever hits them last. You will see them attach to another raid member but using a low level Curse of Agony will pull them onto you since each tick of damage will "stick" them to you, and Curse of Agony is nice because its an instant cast, you can cast it while not facing, and it lasts a very long time. Using a low level CoA is just a safety buffer but the whole point of being the ranged tank is to continue to collect Dark Nuclei anyways because they slowly die out so try to aim for FIVE so if one dies you will have four on you which is a good amount to mitigate Keleseth's Empowered Shadow Lance (or whatever the hell its called).

4. Why? Dark Nuclei give you a stacking (multiplicative) buff which decreases the shadow damage you take by 35%. Having them on you gives you a small stream of constant damage but that's ok, it can be healed through. His empowered shadow lance does like 90k damage unmitigated!

That's the easy part. Duh you have to run around grabbing nuclei. What else?

5. Try to run around the outside edges of the room and stay away from other people since this other prince has an AOE knockback that does damage to everyone. Just....keep your distance. After you COA a Nuclei, just stop and spam some Searing Pains on him while looking for the next one.

6. Problems with aggro? Problems with maintaining aggro and collecting Nuclei? Setup a macro. You can either shadowbolt him to trigger Decimate and spam Soulfire under a macro that goes "/tar prince kel", so you can stand still and zoom your camera around looking for nuclei while spamming spells on him. I used Searing pain since it was quicker and I just wanted a reason to use searing pain. I think by the time he was enraged my threat was at 160,000 so it was just a matter of running around grabbing more nuclei before the ones on me expired and occasionally stopping and spamming my searing pain macro.

7. What else? Those kinetic bombs that drop to the ground? If you see them, heck throw that CoA on it as well, its instant so might as well help out!

8. Having a Felhunter out to reduce 10% spell damage is helpful. Soul-Link it.

9. Use Shadow Ward when its off cooldown, any little bit helps for the "safety" factor. Remember all other mitigation will come from Nuclei.

10. If he gets empowered SECOND and you only have 3 or less nuclei on you...GG.

11. Ok I think that's it I'm getting bored LMAO

Healing the "Real" Groups

Yay more ramblings about randoms! When I'm on my warlock happily blowing shit up for the pure joy of watching seed of corruption blow up I don't really care how geared the rest of the group is save for the tank and heals and the other DPS (err..).

If the tank can hold threat I will go balls to the wall and use the Maximum Seed Limit. Or if there's a Ret Paladin in the group I'll just stand back since their amazing AOE damage downs everything in 2 seconds anyways. It's fun being carried.

If everything goes wrong and the healer realizes I have turned myself into a giant purple demon, I can tank for 30 seconds until everything goes really berserk.

Anyways, to the point now: When I'm gathering the frost badges on my druid, yes I still call it gathering frosts since it's not as fun to heal anymore but the benefit of having two more frosts while having a fast queue outweighs what may come:

The Normal Group.

You know, you'll sometimes land into a group where EVERYONE are fresh or up-and-coming 80s. They do completely fine mid 2k dps, the tank is solid and holds threat. But. Everything is so...SLOW! But Normal!

Remember that speed? This USED to be the fastest speed a heroic dungeon could be ran at. EVERYONE at 2.5k dps that is crazy?

But it feels so slow nonetheless, and being a druid healer I'm just standing there going "uhh so...we done yet?" *Jump Jump Jump"*

OH so if you're in Tree-Form and want to have some fun, run up to a mob and repeatedly right-click the mob as fast as you can and you'll see yourself tree-bitch-slap the mob REALLY REALLY fast (though the damage is the same as the normal auto-attack speed). ITS HILAROUS just don't do it and forget about the rest of the group and have them go splat.

Blood Queen Lana'thel: Less Distress

Less distressful to fight than say Putricide! The guild is officially 10/12 in Icecrown with her death!

What did we do in this fight? Assign the biters.

Bitten #1 bits #2, #1 then bites #3 and #2 bites #4 and by this time it should be a win.

Will of the Forsaken helps a lot with her fearing air phase, as we can just calmly get back in position and continue to pew pew. It might be annoying if you are about to hunger for blood and are feared but just keep your target selected, run towards them and spam "1" to bite 'em!

Seeing humungo crits is always fun too!

Sorry for the crappy pics, new comp arrives in two weeks!

Truny and the Magical Crawdad

I've been stalking the lakes of Terrokar Forest for about a week, fishing in Highland Mixed Schools, waiting for the cast that would bring up Mr. Pinchy to no avail, everytime I got a handful of Furious Crawdad.

Then Monday/Tuesday I forget, was flying around with nothing much to do so I decided to do the Terrokar fishing quest and make a small round of Highland Mixed pools just for laughs.

As I was flying to the lake, all of a sudden some guild on the alliance side obtains the Realm First Heroic Lich King 25 and it was all tada-yellow-text-spam and I thought: "Ok, if I found the Crawdad, that would overshadow killing Arthas on Heroic for just a second."

And yep, on my fourth pool I fish up the Mr. Pinchy.

It was quite tense.

My bags were full so I had to make sure I kept the loot window open to throw something away.

Phew. Then in my excitement I clicked on Mr. Pinchy to get his "wish" but my bags were full because he had occupied the last slot. OH NO! But I saw I had received a mail, which to my relief and surprise actually had the magical crawdad box!

Sorry for the crappy picture I've been too lazy to find a nice place to pose and to edit the picture.

Night!

Over ONE Thousaaaaand!!!

Haste.

Lady Deathwhisper was very nice and off of her very own shoulders perhaps, dropped some
Shoulders of Mercy Killing that I managed to roll for because nobody else rolled (DUH) and if you take a look at the stats what is the first thing that comes to mind?

YEAH. HIT and HASTE all in one? WTF? Wait HASTE and no Spirit? HUH? No CRIT? That's so weird! And it's because of this weirdness I switched out my very stiff
Stiffened Corpse Shoulderpads to drop the CRIT (ugh crit all over) to benefit from the +80 haste, switched out the T 10.5 Gloves back to the emblem gloves , because the hit on the new shoulders would put me way over the hit cap and the emblem gloves had some very nice juicy haste!

I lose the T10 two piece bonus which is the 5% increased critical strike chance for the main nukes BUT I had just obtained my 95th frost emblem so I purchased the
T10 Robe with an intention to upgrade it to the ilvl 264 version, rather than outright getting the Meteor Chaser's Raiment for the straight stats upgrade.

Anyways, with all that said and done my hit % is at 17.08%, which is just a FEW points above the hit cap of 17% and my spell-stoned haste is now at 1,080 before any procs!!
