If only it was fun.
Don't get me wrong, seeing Ferocious bite crits for 0ver 10k or seeing Rips crit for 3k is quite satisfying and having to use Energy instead of mana gives me unlimited attacking power but.... umm...
/whisper
It's not as fun as a Warlock.
I like healing as well. You get to jump and waddle around (unless the mobs do whirlwinds or other similar effects) and reverse-pew-pew and dont' have to worry about being at the top of the Recount List. All that matters is no one dies. Or at the least the tank and yourself and your favourite DPS stays alive.
I have inadvertantly collecting a slew of Feral Kitten DPS gear for Turny while healing. Stuff no one needed, yeah I tended to be in party with all plate wearers. Some pretty good stuff, I think I have all the leather from H TOC and the only things that haven't been replaced are rings and trinkets which I think I am still using random green ones. The gear I have accumulated are not even fully gemmed and enchanted.
I repeat: The gear I have accumulated are not even fully gemmed and enchanted.
Something is wrong here.
See, I tend to gem and enchant EVERYTHING.
Regardless if I knew I would replace it in the next instance. It didn't matter. I hated having empty sockets and well..non-enchanted gear. I felt like a hobo.
What's wrong with spending a few hundred gold to better your stats by ...2%? You want to be at full efficiency at all time, regardless of what you're wearing.
Anyways I am straying off topic.
So right, my feral gear. I did gem them. My DK JC slave churns out gems daily and just throws them in the vault.
But if only the Druid's DPS tree were to be.....a Destruction Warlock!
Screw class balance implications, if I were ever to consider that...half my posts would not be in existence.
Think about it, while using Healing Leather, I'd get to roll on DPS Leather.
Oh wait, what the hell! This can happen!
What if I tried BOOMKIN. One. Last. Time"
I think I respecced to it back at level 40ish and HATED it.
Roots? WTF? Just kill! This takes way too long!
Green balls of "Wrath".
Uhh...I heal with those green things!
Everytime I cast wrath I can see myself going "rawr check this out LMAO"
Though Moonfire is cool its like "KABOOM FROM HEAVEN" and Starfall, I have never used it but it looks pretty cool with glittery pew pew all over the place I shall see!
I guess with all my spellpower gear NOW I should retry Boomkin.
Though what I have tended to see are Boomkins in ilvl 232+ gear doing the same DPS as my ilvl 219 (average) Warlock. I will have to see.

Do you have a "solid" tank?
Upon engaging battle I tend to throw on a Rejuvenation, and a single Lifebloom on the tank. And wait.
Usually with a fairly "solid" tank, I guess this is one with good mitigation, defense, block, or whatever the hell you people use, will only see a tiny dent in their health bar, only to be recovered from the next tick of Rejuvenation.
In other words, on the first pull I can usually gauge how smooth the run is going to be, regardless how high/low the dps is. High and not pulling aggro is preferred, thanks!
Sometimes, their HP will just plummet to 50% and I think "fuck", Swiftmend. Maybe they missed some button press who knows, but if after this one Swiftmend their HP does not get recovered by the HoT's and I need to either Regrowth or Nourish, we're in trouble.
You're not that solid yet. And due to this I now must use my brain to heal a bit harder, so that my mana pool might drop down from 98% to 88% (haha yeah right). We could get through most runs just fine, but usually when one's HP drops so fast they are probably not good at holding aggro.
Just an observation but that's how its been. The tank's HP will drop, then the Melee dps are all dying, then the ranged. And because the tank is not so solid it makes it look like my heals can not catch up, and of course when people are one shotted, it is quite hard to heal 0%!
This is of course from the perspective of a Resto Druid. I am not sure if any priests out there have noticed as well since you guys have a shield that will absorb some of that plummetting if not for a little while.
So here's what Turny has been using as a gauge to tank's going into Heroics.
Solid: One rejuv and one lifebloom is completely overheal. Great. These runs are actually kind of boring for the healer but then again....good tanking! You are probably a paladin or warrior!
Ok-Solid: One rejuv and one lifebloom still has a larger, though slightly, dent than the above. Still good. I like these runs, you are not OP but very good. This can be any class!
Medium-Rare I mean Solid: One rejuv and two stacks of lifebloom. This is actually still very good as the change from the two above classes are marginal but noticeable. I am detailed. And because my Healing Role is quite repetitive I tend to notice these things.
Average: Average is what is considred "not Solid", this is when I MIGHT have to Swiftmend that initial rejuv, or throw on the full stack of lifeblooms. Usually a freshly dinged 80 switching from DPS to Tanking. Still healable, makes the run that much more interesting. This is where the line is drawn.
Not So Good: Tank goes *splat*. These are the tanks where.....maybe they shouldn't tank....really. It makes the healer look bad since they usually can not hold aggro and everyone is taking damage and while trying to keep the squishy tank up, the dps are not getting enough heals. I mean, not that I am lazy to heal MORE, but....these are tanks that take damage as fast as if they were in DPS mode!
In Conclusion: If you have to spam Nourish or Regrowth on your tank, they might be having some issues. (Unless you ONLY use those spells which....err....why are you a druid again?)
I don't know if I will be playing long enough to level my tank to 80, she is only 28 and have been tanking the lowbie instances easily. Consecrate is your best friend.

Turny the Restless Tree
Turny the Restless Tree - Ridiculous Demands
After fearing the Argent Confessor Paletress fight for weeks, Turny is now at a point where just throwing out all his HoTs on everyone and spamming Wild Growth is easy peasy cake!
I had also fulfilled one of my dreams this weekend, and that was to Heal Through Loken's Lightning Nova. Ok well not really a dream, but back when Turby was 80 and NO ONE was in Ulduar gear or heck even Naxxramas gear, before the time when epics rained out of the sky, I always had respect for a healer that could heal through the 14k-entire-party-damage when Loken casted his Nova on heroic mode.
When I first read up on this fight I thought "oh god, where do I run and what if I don't run far enough and oh my god he has a dot? What the heck?"
But no, Turny now just preHoTs everyone with Lifebloom, timed to when he cast his Nova (I kind of have a feel for when he casts it now having murdered him over 100 times), and rejuv on everyone, and again when no one is moving (YAY), Wild Growth! All I do is use Nourish or swiftmend to pad up the squishies and he dies in about 40 seconds.
ANYWAYS, Turny now has some ridiculous demands which shall be implemented for Resto Druids everywhere!
1. Druids should be able to wear plate. Ever been in a situation where six, seven....twelve mobs ran loose and are beating on you? And after about....15 seconds you die because you are bored of healing through it? Well that sucks! They should just do no damage to begin with and why can't a tree tank and heal themselves at the same time?
2. Tranquility is a passive aura. It is active at all times. Forget about the threat, we have plate!
3. Rejuvenation ticks every second.
4. Druids should get a pet. We are one with nature, why not give us some Treant pets? Yeah, the giant ass ones! Dks wear plate and have a pet...jeez...
5. The Druid talent trees have been reworked to: Restoration, Destruction, Survival. Note there is no "tanking" tree as we can naturally tank in all trees.
6. Druids gain the abilities: Purge Magic, Cleanse Disease. Why not?
7. All of your healing spells cast that shield thing that priests cast. Yeah that's right! And they leave (another) HoT on the target, yeah take that shammies.
8. When your living seed is activated (the tank gets hit), all enemies get exploded by shadow damage just like Seed of Corruption. Mmmm!
9. Your healing spells act as damaging spells when cast on enemies, and your HoTs are able to crit. Think of it like using Holy spells on undead enemies in Final Fantasy. (Rebirth = instant kill, not useable on bosses). Wow now that I think of it Tranquility...........
Ok that's all for now this is getting a bit OP (DUH)

Turby's Analysis of the Races
All my toons are Horde. For the Horde! Why you ask?
Because my friend said "when you make your guy make sure to choose horde", and I said "Ok".
Yeah.
But now I am quite attached to the horde.
I have associated the Allies as: Those Slightly Annoying People Whom I Can Not Really Profit or Interact With/Off Of But Should Kill For Reasons I Am Not Sure Of Anymore.
So from my taint of being Horde, this is how I see each of the Races.
Orc
Ok, so Thrall is our leader, and he is an orc. Good. I can not play as an orc. I do not know why. Maybe they just look to bulky or dumb. I would really like to make a Shaman, I have and deleted him, but I would like to actually get one to 80 but I do not want to be an Orc. Thrall is a shaman, why can I not be like Thrall? It's all in the looks sigh.
Troll
Turby is a troll, he is green and cool and laidback and does Capoeira like dances and he's just chillin. I am okay with trolls, regardless that their main town is a tiny tiny starting zone village.
Tauren
Cows. Bovine. I play a Tauren because I have no choice, they are the only Horde members that can be druids. And with Druids, I prefer to be in TREE form at ALL times and despise seeing my "Cow form". I'm from Alberta, cows are for eating, not for playing.
Undead
You start "life" as a noobie, by rising out of your grave. Nice nice. I have origins. I was probably a human but now I am a zombie. I can play as Undead anyday, our bones show, and our spines show, and just rockin' out is awesome! (Whatever)
Blood Elves
I thought Blood Elves would be fun to play because they had the word "blood" in them. Really. My first Blood Elf was my Death Knight and ....he's too pretty to kill, hence he sits in Dalaran crafting Gems for his friends. My Rogue is also a Blood Elf, he looks like a Male Stripper because apparently he has to wear this Raptor Harness which shows off his chest. The Female Blood Elf is too....peppy, like whoa calm down. Also, all the Blood Elf jokes are quite rude. I would not delete my Blood Elves though because they are at a high enough level to retain.
Humans
I am not a white person, nor am I a black person trying to be a white person. Enough said with Humans.
Night Elves
When I played WC3, I was always the N.E's. Because....we could have Maieve Shadowsong as our hero, our wisps would just drain resources, and our buildings could move, and we got Tranquility! Like whoa!
Night Elves in WoW are not Maieve Shadowsong, and what happened to the Male ones..they look....special ... o_O?
Gnomes
Gnomes are cool. They don't care what anyone thinks about them they will run around and smack your ankles and giggity giggle and run away. If Faction transfers enabled us to keep the Race as well I would make a Gnome mage, delete my Undead mage and transfer it to the horde! They are so cute when they die!
Dwarves
I am sorry but I can not stand their accent. Dwarves should just stay in the Snow White fairy tale and we will leave it at that.
Draenai (Spelling)
What the heck are these? Purply goats from space right? Sorry I do not fare well with Farm Animals I am just like that.
Goblin
Yay we get our own "Tiny annoying thing" for the Horde side! Would I make one? No.
Worgen
Holy fuck! PUPPIES! WHY did they have to be on the Alliance's side? Give them...Goblins or...Not-Worgen! I think when the expansion comes I might have to move all my ten toons to the Alliance just to join the Worgen that I am about to create! I can see it now, I would go to LBRS and get the Worgen pet so my child can quest with me then I would mount my....PIG?? and ride around all puppy like! It was when this was announced that I was disappointed in the Faction changes we don't get to keep our race. BOO!
I mean, I could always just make a Worgen with no access to Kluptomania's riches and support, be on the Allies...joining the 45,000 Human Paladin 12 year olds on our server.....great fun! Yes, in BGs they are ALL Human Paladins! I didn't even know that Allies could MAKE Shamans until I accidentally killed one and went "What the hell was that, it didn't have a shiny lolhammer??"
Did I Forget Any?
If I did, I probably didn't care for it.

The Warlock Equivalent
I had mentioned many times before how similar the button styles of a Resto Druid and a Destruction Warlock were, but there are some spells possessed by these classes that the other does not have an equivalent spell for.
Ie, Rejuv is Curse of Agony, Immolate is Regrowth and etc.
The mechanics work more or less the same, with a number, and numbers over time, only one is pew pew and the other is un-pew pew.
Some spells Warlocks may be interested in are:
Lifebloom >> Deathbloom
Works like Lifebloom, can stack up to three times and and the bloom can crit, all while dealing shadow damage. Forget about PVP implications! Go away!
Wild Growth >> Deathmist
This is what our T2 armor was named after! Works like Wild Growth, targetting five enemies and does decreasing shadow damage per tick for seven seconds. All party members are healed for 2% of the damage done per tick. Yeah Warlock heals!
Tranquility >> Cataclysm
I know we have a talent called that, but hey the expansion is called Cataclysm might as well! Does massive fire and shadow damage to all enemies near you. This is the ultimate AoE spell and of course being Warlocks the ticks can crit for over 10k, use at your own risk.
Shapeshift >> Metamorphosis
Uh huh, but PERMANENT, with its own talent tree. Hey wait that's a good idea, how about with the Demonology tree, instead of boosting our demons, we ARE the demon from the start, (though the ability will have to be kept down low in the tree) and we go from there? Whatever.
Flight Form >> Demon Flight Form
Ok I am shifting off topic, since the last two are useable by all druids as well.
That's all for now!

Truny the Warlock
DPS'ers are Important!
Turny my Resto Tree has been in the spot light lately, and up until I got into healing heroics trying to PUG groups that I realized that: Not only is a good tank important, good dps is also very important as well.
From a DPS toon perspective, all other Damagers are just fighting for a spot (yes, not YOUR spot, A spot) to help kill things and receive some emblems and loot. Essentially that is what it is. Though I would have to say when I am on my Warlock I just like to burn things to the ground and...kill things..so..er..
But as a healer, especially one that is just gearing up (I now have EVERY single leather piece from regular ToC for Kitty and Tree form LMAO), and for a healer that is paranoid that the tank is a squishy-tank, having some high DPS really puts the strain off of ALL fights.
Now I am not saying that the ultimate highest DPS is desirable, it is only if the person knows how to control their threat levels relative to the tank's.
I do not know how DPS Warriors or DPS Shamans work, but they must have an ability or talent which makes them randomly take damage ALL the time while attacking, MORE than everyone else? Death Knights too sometimes....it's weird.
Then there's the trade-off, sure if you are doing 2500 dps and accidentally pull threat and stop doing so, I am more than glad to swiftmend the green stuff on you!
On other topics, I need a rematch on Paletress.
Seriously, the Black Knight, Phase 3.
One person is "Marked for Death", ok whatever. Just rejuv and swiftmend them.
Keep lifebloom up on everyone, and rejuvenation while you're at it, keep an eye on the tank and the person marked for death. Wild Growth when it's off cooldown. Easy peasy.
Because....it is predictable, and the damage is constant, while my heals are constant. Yes yes.
Paletress is: Random 6k 6k 6k, then the monster does some debuff, and or aoe, and or something, and then some sort of fear that does damage, and while you are being feared you are getting smited and the shadow is now casting some other spell which all sounds the same.
I am tempted to get that boss mod just for this fight so I know who is casting what, though maybe I should read up on what the hell these abilities are. Well I did read up on these abilities, but like Paladin abilities, they all sound the same and I can not be bothered to study.
Shadows of the Past: I don't remember.
Something Nightmare: That is the fear.
Something else that does damage: It does damage.....
Holy Smite: I hate you.
Is there another one: I think so, and it is like a DoT?

Heroic Black Knight
What the hell?
If I can heal the Heroic Black Knight, all three phases with no one dying...
Then why couldn't I completely heal Paletress?
It all depends on the group I guess. It was two different groups.
Please don't be a squishy tank?

Ranged Damage Per Seconders
I have reached the end-game content in WoW on both a Hunter and a Warlock. Both ranged DPS. Heck, with their talents, they can be considered increased-ranged damagers.
What's so great about that? Well it isn't!
See, I am compelled to explain the complete strategy of each boss fight when I am being the Healing Tree on Turny. I will explain the tips and tricks for each boss and what each role needs to be aware of.
When it falls down to what the melee should look for I am a bit sketchy: "Uhh I think there is a whirlwind somewhere but I am not really sure what it looks like."
I am usually too busy pew pew'ing 40 yards back to notice any slicy dicy effects which kills of those silly melee players.
Now Turny could do some Kitten DPS but....Kitten DPS is for another post!

Warlock T9 Set - Truny's Comments
Ok let's take a look at the Warlock T9 Set Bonuses
Since about 2,000 of my blog views lately have been from the images of my randomly random rant about how bad the T9 LOOKS and provides nothing really constructive, I shall attempt to be well..constructive!
For full details of the stats that this set provides, please check out wowhead, for full stats.
The first thing we notice is that this set only provides 64 Haste, which comes from the Pants. As a Demonology Warlock, for our personal DPS, haste is preferred so this set is kind of "meh". Even having played Destruction for most of the T9 era, I found to be quite lacking in haste, and my nukes felt sluggish.
Let's take a look at the Tier Bonuses.
2 Piece: Increases your pet's critical strike chance with all its attacks by 10%.
As demonology, this is nice because our Felguard can crit for upwards of 2k however this does nothing for our personal dps (duh!)
For destruction, any increase to the Imp's crit increases the chance that you will get the Empowered Imp buff which makes your next spell a guaranteed crit.
4 Piece: Increases the damage done by your Immolate, Corruption, and Unstable Affliction spells by 10%.
This bonus is nice because it applies to two of our base Damage over Time spells:
Corruption is our bread and butter opener, we need it to proc our nice Molten Core bonuses so a 10% increase in damage is very nice. Also, Immolate is used in case our Incinerates get Molten Cored.
In conclusion: Not enough haste. But that's just me.

Typical Northrend Gear - What to Expect
For those who are just entering the exotic land-mass that is Northrend, I am sure more often than not you will hear in whispers how ugly the gear we get in it is.
Take a look at yourself now, see that bright purple robe, the awesome glowing resonating staff? The Crown of the Royal Protector of the Gods that radiate light? It will all be gone. Oh yeah.
We get it Blizzard!
See, the gear you get on your way to the fabled level 80 ding is so horrendous that you have no choice but to level to 80 to stop looking like..hehehe we'll get to that later.
And not just that, once you hit 80 and start running dungeons and heroic dungeons you would think the gear would look a bit more...heroic and...strong but oh no, most of the better looking stuff is from the higher tier raids.
Here I shall compose a list of what you can expect throughout your levelling experience in Northrend. (I am SO glad that Turny the druid has to stay in either Cat/Tree form this time around)
The Brown Stick
Ohh yeah you know what I am talking about. Be it a quest green or a quest blue or a dungeon drop, most staves will look like a Brown Stick. Imagine a piece of wood the height of your character, unfinished, stock wood, with six additional juts of wood sticking out at the top. Ta-da! This will, unfortunately trump the stats of your beautiful Outlands weapon and you must then equip said piece of wood on your back. Yes it looks like a child put this together in shop class in a rush but hey...its the thought that counts!
The Rusty Sword
Just as its description says: A rusty sword. Its not a Katana or a Claymore, just a normal rusty sword with no flash or anything to it. Essentially anything with a sword icon, expect this.
The Brown Crossbow
For us Hunters out there, if you see a quest reward that is a Crossbow, don't expect anything fancy, it will be almost like the Brown Stick, but in a crossbow form!
The Inappropriate Cowl
There you are spotting a beautiful, flowing violet robe, silk gloves, matching trousers, and a magical staff so delicately crafted it may belong to the Priestess of the Moon.....and on your head a dark cowl that is so distracting that it makes even the most wanton Succubus look tame. Congratulations to every single caster class, just turn your Helm Animation off now. Please.
The Brown Piece
Yes, the infamous Brown Piece. What is this? Ohh I dont' know just every single piece of body armor you can imagine! You know that robe you found in Violet Hold? Yes it looks exactly the same as something you would find in Naxxramas. Oh no wait, see the brown swirl here its slightly darker than that other brown swirl! Oh wait, this robe is brown and dark blue, while this one is brown and dark brown its so unique!
Come heroics, when you see those oohh ilvl 200 blues and purples drop and equip them thinking "this is it, I am awesome!", and actually look at yourself you are now probably thinking "wtf nothing changed!"
This works for leather, and mail as well. Seriously, after a while I just thought my hunter had brown skin.
The Ram Helm
If your headgear isn't an SM mask, then its probably some brown helmet that adds some horns to your head. Good job.
Ok, I will let you find out more for yourself.
See the theme here, just choose whatever item you want, redesign it to a bland form of itself and give it a shade of brown. Go ahead, be brave and choose light brown for all I care.
Of course at the end of the day its all about the stats on the gear, just that our RP'ing is molded into what our characters can wear (and perform optimally, of course I have sets of odd cool looking gear that would make me do 1.5k dps), and we should not expect the Massive Wings of Oblivion or 70 foot Greatsword of Shininess like in some asian MMORPGs.
In the end, I find that the T7 and T8 sets look just fine.
T9 on the other hand...ahh that is in another post.

"Do you watch Bleach?"
A question that has been directed towards Turny twice since healing around in Outlands. That was my intent.
See, everytime Turny casts Rejuvenation a slightly annoying macro would sometimes say some random things like "Rejuvs!", "Hael!", "I reject!".
No one's really complained since most of the runs I have been on were extremely quiet.
But twice, I was asked in whisper "Do you watch Bleach?"
My first thought was "Wtfbbq how did you know??"
Then my next thought is usually "Oh yeah, I am making fun of Orihime and her rejecting of things"
Then I would reply: "Yes, you figured from my annoying macro right?"
"Yeah"

Turny the Restless Tree on Being 76!
Turny the Resto Druid is essentially the spoiled child of my mains. If he wants some relic gear, his parents will go pew pew some heroics and voila, an extra 20% exp forever. If he needs enchants, Turby is already on it. Tailoring? Truny's got it covered. Need some gems? Klupty the jewelcrafting-slave is stationed in the Dalaran Jewelery store just for this purpose (poor thing he will never level past 73 at this rate). Need to fly at an early age in Dalaran? No problem, mother Truny is more than happy to spend a thousand gold pieces to get that tome of flight!
Turny also needs to get "geared up" for heroics pretty soon, at this rate he will be 80 within two weeks. I am not sure if everyone else has noticed this but ever since the last patch, BOE BLUE gear has been dropping faster than Roman Pidgeon Doo-doo than ever and both Turby and Truny have collected half a vault of random blues!
Anyways, Turny had been healing Violet Hold, Drak'Tharon Keep, and some Old Kingdom this weekend and jumped from 74 to 76! His favourite spell "Rejuvs! I reject" gained a new rank and ticks for over 1k which is quite exciting!
With Talents, I have been just plugging talents into random places that seem useful now, for both Turny's Resto and Feral specs. I mean, sure I can reduce some threat or reduce some mana cost (but why?) or increase my healing touch potency (which I use maybe once in three runs), but really....most of the useful talents have been filled up!
So what was I talking about? I am not sure I am too hungry to care hence this post is quite unfocused. But...yes, maybe I will try to heal a Halls of Stone tonight (just whatever new things I see in the LFG panel)

Turby the Hunter on Trial of the Champion Upgrades - True-aim Longrifle vs Drake Mounted Crossbow
As of yesterday, Turby will no longer receive any more of the crazy upgrades from the Heroic Trial of the Champion. The shower of epics is over.
It was a good group, great tank, awesome healer, dope damage per seconders. Also, having ran this both on Turby and Truny (as it was the daily), we both got the easy boss, Eadric the Pure.
It was on Eadric the Pure, a necklace I had never seen before dropped, and was the only one who wanted to use it: The Ancient Pendant of Arathor. Cool, it was a nice upgrade from the Heroic Badge necklace that everyone used to have. Good job!
The Black Knight went down like a piece of tissue in a toilet bowl, and lo and behold guess what FINALLY drops? Uh huh! The stupid gun! The True-aim Longrifle!
Now let us compare the change in stats and damage from the Drake Mounted Crossbow. Please note I am using the Engineering ammunition, Saronite Razorheads and Mammoth Cutters (everyone should to maximize damage right?)
Strength: +0
Agility: +5 Whoohoo!
Stamina: +38 OMG!
Intellect: +0
Spirit: +0
Armor: +10 Hell yeah!
Damage: +104-224 min/max damage, that's very good!
Average Damage: From 1549 to 1713! An almost 11% increase in overall damage. Wow.
Speed: -0.16 seconds. NOO I am slow!!
Power: +2 attack power. Hells yeah!!
Hit: +0, my hit is low isn't it?
Crit Chance: -0.51% GRR, its ok, in battle my Crit Chance usually soars up to 50% anyways!
Until next time!

Turby the Hunter on Reins of the Green Proto-Drake
Tuesday. Seven days ago I had purchased one of them Mysterious Eggs from our scaly friends in Scholozar Basin. It had been a while since I had made the long and tedious flight to Scholozar, probably two months since I had last purchased an egg.
So remembering I had purchased an egg I log in to open it to receive the usual, Tickbird, egg-meat, blah. I start running from the spot I logged in at, which was behind the counter in one of the shops (don't ask), and click open the egg while heading to Krasus Landing to go and buy another egg.
The loot window pops up and it says "something Proto Drake" and I thought "well, at least I got the little pet this time", but wait....the pet shouldn't have purple text!
So there! The end.

Truny the Warlock on Koralon the Flame Watcher
Just last week I discovered that Koralon the Flame Watcher had finally been implemented and was itching to see just how -easy- he was.
Now, this fight is the ultimate STAY OUT OF THE FIRE fight. Good on you Blizzard, you know that some people don't do the longer raids but will sometimes go into VOA for their weekly lotto. This gives more people exposure to a hardcore Stay Out of the Bad Stuff fight.
Why stay out of the fire? It seems to tick for 3k a second and if Koralon just happens to do his Fire Spin attack (it's not really called that but you'll see) you are dead. Burnt. Dead.
Now for my first time in there....everything looked like fire! My own attacks are fire what the hell so confusing! Within thirty seconds into the fight I was down. I realized too late I was standing in a patch of fire, and that it wasn't my own attack. Sometimes, his fire spin will mask the fire on the ground too so be wary. I looked around for a while and realized this fire looks like a bunch of Maple Leaves. Ok got it.
It was a wipe anyways, too many people in fires. Probably with the same problem I had, not expecting what the fire looked like and what its spawn patterns were.
Second time around, much better I learned to stay on the outer ring where the ground was a dark colour, enabling the fire to contrast much better. Somehow, our healers burned to the ground and again it was a wipe, though we did much better than the first attempt.
Third try, more people are getting the hang of it you could feel it. Koralon was now tanked along the outer ring while the dps just circled behind him in the outer ring again staying out of the fires. (The middle area is just like The Freaking Halls of Stone Boss Where It's All Shiny!) Stay out of it as its so bright you may not see the fire.
We were real close to downing him but one of Koralon's later Fire Spins took out half the raid, it hits hard and must be healed through I guess. And once again, remember that when he casts that it may cover up the fire on the ground so pay attention. Another wipe.
People were dropping. But we were "progressing", everyone was improving and honing their strategies. Its ok we found replacements and re-attempted.
Fourth try. I found that just staying in range, casting my rotation by memory (its more or less the same, just look up to check Immolate), and Staring at the Ground while circling Koralon was quite successful. Priority 1 is to STAY OUT OF FIRE. We get him down to about 500k and another Fire Spin takes out three quarters of the raid, luckily there seemed to be enough people alive to take him down and there you go!
Any loot? Yes! PvP Warlock Pants. Though the spellpower on them were massive (for ilvl 251? gear haha), I refused to roll on it just because!
We then went and destroyed Emalon and the other one oh Archavon without even blinking (duh).
So the takeaway: Stay out of the Fire. Then DPS as hard as you can while circling. Move move move!

Kluptomania Reports - Mysterious Lady
Just yesterday, Runy the Rogue reported to us that a mysterious lady clad in purple robes have been spotted hanging around the Kluptomania Guild Headquarters.
It seems she travels alone, only with her pet Raptor at her side. I was intrigued and sent Runy to investigate further.
Runy followed her into Silverpine Forest and spied the little Raptor watching its owner silently as she turned level 20.
A while later, she was spotted taking on the ENTIRE sentry guard stationed in Pyrewood Village!
Now in the dark confines of a cursed cave, our mysterious traveller takes on a swarm of Werewolves!
And of course, they seemed to be cakewalk. We be increasing our watch on this woman over the next few days, for now...Kluptomania should be wary.

Druny the Mage - Progress
How is Druny the Mage you ask? Well err....as you can see here she is fully decked in her Lame BoA gear ready to take on the beasts of Tirisfal Glades as a freshly dinged Level 10! The 20% bonus exp got her three levels farther than my last mage before I got bored, may he rest in piece I mean peace in Durotar.
Here she is, showing off her Frost Nova! "Watch out undead guy I freeze your ankles off!"
Yeah Arcane Missiles! I know they use a lot of mana but hitting three times with shards of purpleness may just be the thing to keep Druny going!
They have been hitting for 25 damage each, sometimes critting (omg) for 39 damage WOOT! Though this spell takes out probably a third of my mana bar and can be shortened when hit.
Druny and her tiny-ass Imp Fireball. Enough said. After getting used to a Warlocks crazy destructive fire, Druny does not really use this spell a lot...
Also, I still have not decided where to spend Druny's first talent point and will see how long I can hold off talentless (probably till late 20s realistically speaking since Turny healed with Feral spec...hmm...)
Take that Tirisfal Bat, I melee you down!
Hey a little bit of free healing when Crusader procs is not bad, plus it beats sitting to drink and gives me something to do.
That's the extent of the levelling Druny got for today, in creating these screenshots..so.....she will hit 15 tomorrow, or at least I will try for level 12!

Turby and Truny are Crit Whores
You know, whenever Kill Shot fires off those big crits...I feel like a Warlock. However, look at my weak-ass auto-shot. I reckon with a new gun *cough* this would go up by a few hundred which is quite significant actually! So in lieu of my last post saying the upgrade was marginal, it is not. Which means more loot buffet dining for Turby! It would mean having to use a gun (boo), and losing the err...1% damage bonus for being a troll for bows?
However, Truny can fire off multiple huge crits! I believe one was Conflagrate, as the bosses are immune to the movement slowing effect and the second one must be either Chaos Bolt or Incinerate (duhh!)
Ohh ohh here's a good example of the Poison from the Rogue boss! STAY THE HELL OUT OF IT!
Yeah so my toons are CRIT-WHORES, sue me. And guess which is the only instance I have been running lately? D=

Truny the Warlock on Sartharion's Bag
If you've ever walked up to a freshly murdered Dragon, you will be glad to find a perfectly tailored bag made out of their own skin. Who knew that Dragons were so resourceful, using their own body parts to carry things around?
Anyways, after a VERY fast Heroic Utgarde Keep and Utgarde Pinnacle run, our tank stated that he was going to start an Obsidian Sanctum 25 PUG and asked if we were interested.
I just then realized that Truny did not have the achievement for this place and agreed to join! Now compared to when Turby ran it, our group was insanely fast, consisting 50% Paladins and Death Knights. I don't even think we had to do the "jump into a portal and kill shit" thing. We just rolled over everything and downed Sartharion like nothing.
And there we go, Truny won the roll to a new bag to carry all her random junks.
What's in your bag?

I use my main backpack, for the most current items that I have. It is a LIFO process. (Last in First out).
Well, we have Sartharion's skin bag. A firestone for some critting. A soul stone which I did not have to use from the smooth run. A rune from some Icecrown quest I did not bother finishing. A lance for running H ToC, trash cloth worth 50 silver, some gears from some quest in Storm Peaks I am not bothering to finish anytime soon, Giant Eggs from doing the "collect 30 boomkin bloods" for the Warlock mount quest, and some torch from....somewhere..probably a quest I am not going to finish anytime soon.
The end.

WoW T9 Gear Set - A Review and Comments
To the left, we have a picture of the Warlock's T9 set-Horde side.
Take a look at it, carefully. Yeah, I bet you are loving the iron mask, and the steel shoulder plates! It looks like the bracers and chest-guard are reinforced with boiled leather as well.
I am excited, does this mean Warlocks finally get to wear Plate??? How would you make cloth stand up like that I wonder?
Now let's take a look at all the T9 sets:
Very interesting. If you can not see, starting from the top row left to right. Warrior, Paladin, DK, Rogue, Druid, Priest, mage, Warlock, Shaman, Hunter.
Notice how all the plate is the same model, all the leather is the same model, and same with the cloth and mail?
How creative! At least they did not use all browns!
I mean, the design IS pretty bad-ass but when you look at all of them, they all have the same theme: large-ish spaulders with a bad-ass type of helm!
Now I had seen these pics a while back and something had bugged me ever since and I just realized what it was.
ALL THESE PICES CAN REPLACE ONE ANOTHER.
Don't they all look like they could be plate? Every single item maybe other than the cloth robes could be used interchangeably! (Practically speaking what defense would a pair of CLOTH spaulders bring huh?)
NOW FOR THE ALLIANCE
WHAT HAPPENED??
The plate reminds me of the feeling I get when I walk by the Old Navy and wonder to myself "what the hell do they sell in there?" And what's with the three spot lights, god they are so bright!
The Rogue and Druid are OK save for the Bird-Beak noses. If I was a member of the Scourge I would be on the floor laughing if someone dressed as an oversized chicken were to attack me, no matter how savagely.
Clothies. Oh. My. God. I am so sorry. I do not know why but just seeing the cloth sets make me want to apologize for something. They look like over-wrapped, immobilized Easter Egg Statues!? Again if I were the Scourge and a Human Warlock were to start attacking me I think I would die from going *squints* "What the f- is that? Hey Joe-zombie come over...come see this holy crap hahahahaha!!"
The Mail wearers. These sets are actually made of wood. They look like extremely dated, poorly painted old furniture that no one wanted and ended up in some pawn shop only to be discovered fifty years later.
I am so sorry!
Turby and Truny and Turny who are HORDE!

Where's my Lifetap?
Anyone who has a Warlock and have played any other class would already know what I am talking about.
Ever instinctively push your Lifetap key while on your:
a) ...Resto Druid, and forget that your mana regen is godly already? Guilty.
b) ...Hunter, instead of using Aspect of the Viper? Guilty. (I did however, bind my Viper key to the same key as Lifetap..)
c) ...Mage, instead of sitting down and drinking, hence wasting 30 seconds of your life every one minute? Guilty.
d) ...Second Warlock and err that is the correct thing to do. Guilty.
e) ...Death Knight or Rogue and realize "oh my god I should log off now..."

Truny the Warlock on Mages - Disposing Dispositions
Why did I choose to play a Warlock and not a Mage? Was it because of the shadow damage? Or was it because of the Demons? Because Warlocks are supposed to be more "evil"?
I think so!
I mean come on, people make Mages sound malevolent and crazy with their fire spells but...it just doesn't cut it for me.
To me, Mages feel too Hocus-Pocus.
"Oh 'abracadabra I create a fireball, Shazam, a larger fireball which I shall call Pyroblast."
Whereas a Warlock gets spells called Incinerate, Immolate, Conflagrate. There's action tied to these names, they have intent. To kill.
Am I just a weird person with murderous intent? Maybe...
But anyhow, I had created a mage a while ago and got him up to level 8 before I got tired of having to drink after every fight and deleted him. Rest in peace whatever your name was. Oh yes it was Bran. After Brandon Stark.
What was with this downtime? Where's your lifetap?
A few month's after Bran's death, I decided to (yes I did Mihael) give Mages another shot since they are obviously quite strong at end-game. I thought..well if they could match damage with Truny....fine, my Shaman can die and I shall remake a mage.
And then Druny was born. To help with the downtime, I equipped her with Runy's relic sword, enchanted with the Crusader powers. Yes, I shall cast AND melee until a reasonable level to save downtime. And it worked. I also purchased the relic chestpiece to go with the shoulderpads for 20% bonus exp and lo-and-behold Druny is already level 11 (or 10).
I found casting Fireball to be quite unsatisfying as its just......its...the same fireball my IMP casts! However at level 8/9 or so I found a taste for Arcane Missiles as it was something new and dealt reasonable damage. Though I still didn't feel very malevolent. Still a mage in training. Druny has yet to see the big spells.
Now the question is, should I go Fire/Ice/Arcane? Also, this video makes playing a mage seem UTTERLY AWESOME and I must be privy to it!
Perhaps I can get used to this "clean" sort of caster dps.
