Return of the Bear
Now that Truny has retired to a comfortable spot by an Orgrimmar mailbox, making her Dreamcloths as they come off cooldown, she is excited for the upcoming patch. New gear and various mounts to runthenewdungeonutnilyoudontneedanymorefromit! Just kidding..sort of, I mean it'd be nice to actually run ZG and ZA at level! I believe the first raid I had ever done that was at level and at the same ilvl was when Onyxia was re-released. I did pug for a Kel'thuzad kill in Naxx when I actually needed upgrades from there, but I think the raid group themselves were slightly overgeared. Maybe not. Maybe Kel'thuzad was my first actual at level raid boss.
The next raid that I had completed at the appropriate times was on my druid, by healing a PUG TOC-10. This was back in the day when we only received two Triumph Badges from the daily heroic. It was probably that one encounter which got me into raiding and got me thinking "hey this isn't as l44t and h4rdk0r3 as people make it out to be!". Sure, it was only regular 10-man mode, nothing glorious and heroic but coming from a purely heroic-dungeons-casual-type-player this was a pretty significant jump. It was that encounter, where after downing Anub'arak there had been no druid upgrades but at that point I didn't even care because I had already helped to heal through it that Perdition dropped. A raid-level weapon, no way! I rolled and lost, but the Warlock who won it, the person who had been leading the raid traded it to me. No way, nice people exist!
Now, what was I talking about? *Looks back at title*.
Oh yeah! Why was I talking about first-encounter-raids again? I forget! Ok let's see...Truny's no longer active since fel armor sucks major dish and there isn't really anything to do anymore other than the daily cooking or fishing quest. Truny's exalted with most of the "important" BC reputation factions such as Netherwing and Sporregar. Yeah those are my priorities. The Sha'tari Skyguard seems like an ideal faction to grind rep with but there's something about having to kill those creepy birds that is stopping me from doing so. Though there's a minipet and many mounts to be obtained. Also, it seems that Truny is slowly transitioning out as my "main" character. Turby the hunter is closing in on Truny's achievement points (yeah, a shallow measurement system but a system nonetheless) with 6310 while Truny is sitting at 6340!
Turby has also officially tamed every single Spirit Beast in Azeroth! That will be an entry on its own over at Growl and Cower. I've been meaning to make some random random comics over there but..yeah you know what happens afterwards.
"What about this 'bear' thing you're speaking of? We don't really care about your other characters!"
Oh yeah!!
OK. I remember saying a while ago that I would regrettably ditch my druid FOREVER because Tree of Life is no longer permanent and Feral tanking felt clunky and weird. I couldn't do that, really! I didn't feel "useful" if I didn't have a go-to tank or heals playing at the same level as my DPS toons and my druid was already 85, 14 levels above my next potential tank/heals combo the Paladin.
I really do prefer resto-healing over feral-tanking but I refuse to since Tree of Life is gone. I glyphed so that when I use my cooldown I do turn into the old model but I like to heal at the top of my game and I usually don't even NEED to use that cooldown. I don't need to turn into what I want to look like. Whoa that was deep, or maybe it wasn't...
So tanking. I figured out why I thought it felt clunky despite the additional cooldowns: I tanked in Wrath.
Since dungeoning is no longer (to some extent) gogogoaoeeverything, I took my tanking mind to a calmer more methodical place and told it to "CALM THE HELL DOWN!". Everything became better again. As long as DPS gave me a good lead on threat, I'm liking the idea of our AOE bleed, and having something to do by stacking our lacerates and then pulverizing it away. It took me a while to figure out the purpose of Pulverize. It wasn't for damage but for "something to do and increases crit hence justifying that something to do."
Yesterday Turny tanked his first heroic: Shadowfang Keep. The big mobs of ghouls hit damn hard! We didn't have much trouble except for the first boss ignoring some of our interrupts but after 5 minutes of repeating on him he eventually became interruptable again. With the shield spray stuff has adds boss our DPS wasn't high enough to down his adds so we skipped him and the other two bosses were pretty simple stuff.

Oh yeah, Raiding! (And Random Babbles)
Warning: Unedited, incoherent wall of blab! (Can you tell by now I type out random crap during my lunch breaks?)
Enter generic raid progress post. I've participated in the deaths of two raid bosses so far, slow but whatever. Halfus Wyrmbreaker from that...raid and also Magmaw from that other raid. They all sound the same. Three words. The middle word is "of". Something of something. I don't know, there's something about the new Cata raids that don't make them stand out or feel as epic as I'd like? Perhaps we need a rousing orchestratic movement or something. They seem more of a task, just another thing to do amongst the sea of not much else to do. Oh look a random giant worm, let's kill it. Or look some random person with random whelps and dragons around him. Ok? Or yeah uh huh four golem sentries, avoid everything and spread out and stand in blue puddles but spread out but run from adds and kill adds and don't kill shields yeah uh huh. Yes that was the Omnotron System thing. I found that getting a hang of their mechanics wasn't that hard, it was a matter of knowing which two golems were up and hence affected my actions. I reckon this is a healer intensive fight more than anything and we all know how heals have changed over the months.
I did Flame Pillar Duty on Magmaw on the hunter. It was interesting, as far as I was concerned I had my eye on the DBM countdown to when the next cooldown of Flame Pillar was more than I was DPS'ing the boss. It was kind of hard to actually SEE the second or third Flame Pillars because after the big AOE mess we make from the first one its just...craziness! Heck my arrows probably laid true to the bloodworms more than into Magmaw's eyes. Yes, directly to the eyes. I did this to test how BM DPS fared more than anything else and actually by the time we were fed up with the Omnotron System I was leading by a couple million damages. DPS probably floated around 13K dps. I know I know other classes out there are probably doing 25K dps but then again I was at the top of the charts so whatever it seriously didn't matter when there was only the three of us alive near the end of Magmaw's demise...me the hunter and two melee on Magmaw's head, struggling to chain him down at less than 3% health while the corpses of our fellow raid members stared blankly up at us with a small glint of hope in their lifeless eyes. The chaining was successful, a huge sigh of relief from all fronts and the worm had died.
Now, should I have done the quests leading up to these raids to actually get a better feel of what's going on? All I know is that in Cataclysm, all these elemental things are out to get us so Al'akir is in that wind raid, Neptulon is part of the regrettably uninteresting and anti-climatic Vash'jir storyline (abandoned TWO MILES UNDERWATER!), and the Therazane have become our defacto daily rep for shoulders faction. Ragnaros is coming up in a month or so. So what's with all these other raids we're doing? So in that one raid with the lot of adds, something to do with Twilight stuff and dragons and something I should really finish up Twilight Highlands? Then there's the other one with less adds, the one where Magmaw is. I understand Nefarian lives there, and he was the big boss in Blackrock Descent oh wait I got it! Or wait is the current raid called Blackrock Descent? Anyways...so what's he up to? Are we supposed to quest in those hellfire gorge or searing plains or (whatever those THREE freakin' fiery regions around Blackrock Mountain I can never get a hold of) whatever zones at level whatever-they-changed-it-to then suddenly raid it at 85? Would there be such an epic and impactful questline at level 30-50 that we will remember what happens and become motivated to raid up Blackrock Mountain?
Speaking of those THREE freakin' annoying fire themed areas, the one thing I HATE about the map is that when I mouseover to get their ACTUAL freakin' names it ends up showing the STUPID archaeology dig-sites or player-hub towns instead of the actual name hence I've still yet to learn them after so many years. Most likely I can probably turn off dig-sites, I remember seeing that but then thought it would have required too much effort to unclick a box and then have to re-click it in the future.
Another thing are world-drop mini pets. The black tabby cat used to drop off some rare spawn mage in Silverpine Forest, now its a random world drop in Hillsbrad. The Sprite Darter used to drop off well...Sprite Darters in Feralas (for horde) but now they've become a world drop in Feralas...AKA YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM DROP. Why? Why would a random Grizzly Bear drop a darter egg? They don't seem aggressive to them in nature, why would it have its egg? Heck I should be able to find said eggs given the same logic right? Sorry, I'm quite bitter about things becoming world drops. Any hope just darts away.
Why am I ranting about mini-pets? Oh right cause my hunter is trying to "match" his achievements with Truny. A thing to do while progressively changing main toons.
I did stumble upon the Plants vs Zombies minigame in Hillsbrad...and I have to say all these mini-games in WOW are actually more interesting than WOW itself. Plants vs Zombies, Katamari, the Flying Joust in Hyjal (NOT the Argent ones!). (And cause they are ACTUALLY games not just.....whatever WOW is.) The throwing bear cubs onto cliff sides mini-game was actually NOT intended as I had thought, I was actually supposed to throw the cubs onto the TRAMPOLINE PROVIDED but hey it was so amusing...until I took my meds and thought "Oh god what have I done to those poor cubs?? /cackle"
<---Days after initially writing this post go by--->
Alright enough of this nonsense perhaps I will report on our *ahem* Bastion of Twilight (yes I did my research and learned the NAME of the raid we were doing) run this weekend. If I'm home. Most likely I'll run it as a hunter, BUT for everyone's sake I will keep a Warlocky mindset and try to transpose any of our skills and abilities as necessary. Or not.

Warlock, I am Disappoint
Scenario: Hellfire Ramparts
Toon: Level 61 Resto Shaman
Disappointed in: Destruction Warlock
Hi! Wow what a lame intro. Anyways. With nothing better to do at end-game except raid /shudder I am levelling my 61 resto shaman and 67 protection pally through Outlands (obviously). Also due to the fel armor changes I am slowly transitioning my "main" to be my Hunter once again. He's having a blast hunting down rare pets. But that's a different story.
A normal hellfire ramparts, whatever. Everything is going well I'm half AFK as usual, come back to refresh Earth Shield and pretend to heal by spamming Chain Heal and while I'm doing all this I notice over the shoulder of my character...TWO firesballs fly by. I swear even my in-game character turned her head in confuzzledment.
Wait a minute. I look at the little recount box hidden in the corner of my screen. Brown, Yellow, Green, Purple, Blue (ME!)
No Light Blue for Mage. A fireball? For a warlock? Soulfire? With an Imp? Repeatedly? Say what? Ok so the first fireball was the imp's but the second? And continuously?
In an instant I deduced that this Warlock was doing something "different". Why would he chain cast Soulfire when he's not Demo spec? Given that the imp may give him an instant one I can definitely see from the fireballs flying past me that they are being fired off at casting intervals.
I stop and watch.
Soulfire, Soulfire, Soulfire.
I look at recount.
Warlock: Soulfire. Count 45 Damage xxxxx
That's it. He was just spamming this.
His average DPS was 450, which is...is that average? I think my shaman in elemental spec can pull 1,000?
"To each their own I guess", was my first thought. But the inner warlock/elitist in me couldn't contain the rage.
I whispered them "why are you only casting soulfire, you know you have immolate+conflagrate right?"
They say "It's better".
HMMM....is it? If so then we have a serious game-design issue where spamming soulfire out damages the regular destro-rotation pre-chaos bolt. What about rain of destruction? We're not in Cata heroics yet its pretty safe to AOE stuff?
But I rationalized and said "but with conflag your next few spells could cast faster".
"I guess" was the response. He then proceeds to cast some random spells for 20 seconds then continues to spam Soulfire until the end of the run. I guess pushing more than two buttons was too complicated for him?
I felt dirty.
I tried selling the Demonology tree to him if he loved Soulfire so much "you know you might be interested in the Demo tree there are talents that buff that spell".
"How do I do that?"
"Uhh...you just respec".
WHAT? We didn't dumb the game down so much that people don't even know they can dual-spec or respec right? You STILL have to go to a trainer to learn spells right?
I think they were doing it on purpose to troll everyone. I really hope that that was the reason for this. Why would we go through all this effort to design the warlock class if you're just going to spam one button? We're not in burning crusades anymore??
Did they even READ the Incinerate tooltip? Should we make tooltips bigger? Should we force players to read tooltips OUT LOUD and email us a copy of them reading it out loud before they are able to learn it? Should we quiz them first? Let's scrap complicated spells that affect second spells altogether? Are people really playing SO SO casually now that they just don't care? No, I play casually I spend time flying around looking for dinosaurs and shiny cats but I still know how to optimize damage! ARRG!
If a spell that takes 2.5 seconds to cast does 1000 damage vs a spell that takes 1.5 seconds to cast that does 750 damage, which one does more damage over 120 seconds?
What if we dumbed down the talent trees to THREE talents? And also, you just push ONE button that will recognize all your trained skills to produce the most effective spell rotation? That'd be nice!
Ok maybe this person was 12 years old? No! Why are you playing WOW get back to school and do your homework! What ugggh too stressful!! Troll-lock wins, application of despair and anguish successful!

Dailies: Slow Down and Sip the Flowers
I hate daily quests. First we have Tol Barad. Ugh there are SO many cool items from their Quartermaster. Trinkets, TWO mounts, Seagull Pet. Ugh. I have been refusing to do any of these tedious quests other than the Skin 8 Crocodiles one. I am a skinner, and with the two or three stacks of leather I find, I send them off to Turny so he can make them all into ONE piece of Heavy Leather.
How much leather do leatherworkers need to max out their profession like 5,000?
Do I need all these cool items? No.
Therazane. I refuse to do their dailies as well. Pebbles. Enchants. No I refuse.
But, rep! Yeah reputation, I am wearing the Guardians of Hyjal tabard and the only place for me to gain rep with them is through dungeoning. The one dungeon as I only have time to queue for one dungeon, given it is successful. 30 min queue + 45 min run. Can only do that once.
Why do I run dungeons? Cause I get to trap things. And use a spec I don't really like to help kill things faster. I could suck it up and stick with my old trusty Beast Mastery. I've caught a plethora of cool and crazy pets that I can't even use because the spec is just so much behind Survival. Given the Rage-groups nowadays it seems best to sticking with killing faster over aesthetics and roleplay, that's not even part of WoW anyways. There are role-play servers for taht aren't there?
My new blog will be up soon once I find my focus and intent for it. I know there won't be talk of gear nor will there be much useful hunter tips on it. Not that Kluptomania was of any use to any Warlocks with Truny babbling away randomly. It takes a certain know-how to read through all her underlying text to get to the main point, which is usually random rambling.
I am thinking of taking a more casual explorative approach to this new blog. To bring back the feel of starting from scratch. 0 gold. ilvl 0. 4 attack power. You are in southern durotar, with no sense of how big the world is. You've never seen Org, nor have you even HEARD of a place called Outlands. You're constantly lost and you have no care in the world to maximize your stats, if you are even lucky enough to know what benefits your class.
The thing with WoW now it seems, is that from level 1-84 you can just muck about casually face-rolling through everything, then once you hit 85 BAM. Hello Mr. Wall.
You'll realize a few things:
1. You must find a guild or have a great assortment of friends to continue your enjoyment. For example: Tol Barad dailies. If I were to queue up for a heroic alone, then waltz into Tol Barad to (attempt to) do the daily quests, it's quite difficult to group with random single people who want to finish quests quicker. Say Foreman Walson or whatever the hell he's called. At any given time there are about six to seven thousand people waiting for him to spawn, and everyone is spamming their aoes to get the first tag. Ugh. If I were to group up with someone just for this quest, my heroic queue would disappear. Ideally you would queue up with a friend or guildie to alleviate this problem. Good thing this has been changed where anyone who even touches these mobs ankles get credit for the kill.
2. You can't play as you have played from 1-84. I'm having a blast on my Prot Pally right now, she's rockin Outlands straight out the door! If she were to do a heroic our group would probably wipe. Slow down and sip the flowers. Ugh I gotta get into my slow and methodical strategic mode. Then again, our guild heroic runs are quite entertaining especially when there are three hunters. We will trap wordlessly, and things get downed. It all depends. But see our tank can't just run into a group of mobs recklessly, and yes...we had to trap. When was the last time you actually felt the urge to trap from levels 1-84. Like REALLY needed to?
3. Blizzard is indirectly saying "If you don't need this gear, you don't need it so don't complain". If you have no intent on raiding/dungeoning then there is absolutely no way to gain rep with some of the new factions. This would include hmmm Ramikens, Earthen Ring, Guardians of Hyjal. Am I missing any? Too tired to count. You could run normal dungeons and gain some slow rep but then again you don't really need that gear. And in all honestly you really don't.
Hunters can hunt for pets in their downtime. Northrend is practically desolate and there are a lot of rare cats (apparently) available to be tamed if you're not beast mastery. Patch 4.0.6 brought about many many cool pets as well, though right now I am trying to hunt down all the various colors of Madexx!
Archaeology. Oh god no. I can see this as a great off-thing to do while levelling. But trying to level this from scratch on a high level toon is tedious. At least you can fly around. This profession should only be done in short bursts. What I tend to do is see if a dig-site is close to where I am, and if there is I will do that ONE and that is that.
Once again I'm not even sure what I was originally talking about. Oh right, let's give hunters a generic interrupt. Come on, we are the ones calm and steady in the back. If there is anything to interrupt just let us do it. "Warlocks need one too!", says Truny.
I found that when I am on my Death Knight in an Interrupting Scenario I sometimes get so worked up at my "spell priority rotation crap" that for 80% of the fight I'm really staring at my action bar. How fun is that? If I know there is something to interrupt I literally have to stop what I'm doing, hover my fingers over the buttons that I can spam, such as frost strike of obliterate but also hover my mouse over my interrupt. It's not all about the numbers and go go go go go, but wow makes it so easy to get into that mentality.
And what's with Ret Paladins nowadays? They used to be POW POW BAM 1482k DPS and everyone within a 45 yard radius is dead due to their wrath. Now they seem to be just...I don't know how to describe it but....less. Though I did see a ret pally top the charts in Argaloth? Maybe I haven't ran into any crazy-sauce ones or the Argaloth fight is just rather simple with no interrupt mechanics.
Ok I'm going to take up an experiement, and that is to suck it up and run a full heroic as BM. If I don't get kicked from group I shall report back just like Truny did. I believe she had reported on most if not all of the heroics already so you might as well take pleasure in reading them from a Beast Master's perspective (LMAO!)
This post seems to be quite ramblish as well if I say so myself!
Oh remember when individual pets had individual abilities? Like Monstrous Bite, when it was cool? Now they are all standardized!
They all come with:
Generic Bite/Claw/Maul/Mangle/Whatever
Generic Debuff/Buff
Sometimes Another Skill
Hey! Let's use the pet model as the perfect basis to homogenize all the classes!
/gasp
The "new" Beast Mastery is kinda interesting right?
How was the old one played again?
Send in pet. Serpent sting, stand there and steady shot, and hit arcane shot. Use Kill Command and Bestial Wrath. Done. Kill shot when it pleases you.
Now it is, Serpent sting, stand there and cobra shot, kill command, watch focus make sure you have enough focus for an arcane shot given that kill command isn't coming off cooldown, if not then cobra shot for focus and kill command, and use it if it lights up. BW when it pleases you.
It's more cerebral. Sort of. Very bursty and lets you interact with your pet. Your PET is giving you your huge crits, not your own bow!
Ok I am completely lost as to what the focus of this post is so GOOD DAY!

Why I Hated Halls of Origination, But Not Anymore
Ok it's time for me to put you into a trance-like state. Please my dear adventurer, click on the Eye of the Reminiscing and experience my Story through your own eyes.
Click on Thing to See Truny's Dream 0/1
You are in a dungeon group and you have popped into the Halls of Origination. "Oh lord, seven bosses", you think to yourself. Please proceed through the lavishly decorated corridors. You feel something odd in the air. "Ah, there are no trash mobs in here, why?" you think to yourself once again. Your party treks through the dimly lit musty halls, you feel a strangely light yet very cold breeze teasing the air of this ancient structure.
Now we shall warp to the Vault of Lights. In front of you is a marvelous hall, laden with Titan architecture. You feel under your feet the delicate yet sturdy glass encased flooring, underneath which contain strange moving panels.
Truny's Dream Viewed 1/1
FUCK YOU MOVING PANELS!! You know what all this time and throughout so many runs through Halls of Origination I had thought that "if I stood on top of an empty panel I would fall through to my death!" You know how much effort it took to not aggro mobs, maintain AOE dps, and navigate that place all while trying to dodge panels?? Since at the time I was running Halls, the Pugger tool was at its all time low, this was when people would literally leave the party because your name had a vowel in it so I seriously did not want to test out the suicidal theory of "Maybe I Won't Fall". It wasn't until we started doing guild runs that I found out "oh they are safe!" UGGGHH!!!
But now that I think of it, this dungeon has probably become 85% less tedious now that I know the panels are safe. Where is the difficulty in it?
You know what, the entire Vault of Lights is completely unnecessary, I say we have to fight all FOUR of the elementals at the same time. Sure, bring their melee dps down so the tanks could handle it, but it would be major fun to dodge fire, dodge tornadoes, dodge spikes, and break bubbles all at the same time. It would be like a Common Raid Hazards Tutorial. This is all a reason to get rid of the annoying troggs. Seriously they are just annoying. Right now, the "ok for the fire guy, avoid fire, for the water guy, avoid water, for the wind guy, avoid air, for the earth guy, avoid ground" is kind of lame and boring.
Truny's Revamp
Vault of Lights Difficulty Increased by 300%
Upon entering the Vault of Lights, your party is face to face with four imposing elementals. Brann warns you that you must kill them in a certain order for the mirrors to activate correctly since their elemental energies sync and un-sync the air in the Vault.
You pull all four at the same time. They retain their normal abilities with the same cooldowns, they may cast simultaneously so make sure you can break bubbles while running from fire/tornadoes/whatnot.
The Earth and Fire elemental must be tanked. The Water and Air elementals have no threat table and will continue to cast their annoying spells. Un-cc'able.
To know which Elemental to down first, a randomly generated code will trigger a weather effect in the Vault. You must then kill the elemental which possesses the opposite "power" to the weather. With each weather effect, the elemental with the SAME type as the weather will receive some massive buffs so you want to down the opposite one quick so they become weak again. Because killing them would cause a surge of their elemental source to neutralize the weather effect. This shall be a brilliant display of graphics and lag!
Starts Raining: Kill Fire, dodge lightning from rain. Water boss will cast annoying water surges.
Room Burns: Kill Water, dodge fire on ground. Fire boss will cast more fire novas.
Room has Earthquakes: Kill Wind, jump at least once every 5 seconds to avoid quake debuff. Earth boss' spikes will have six directional prongs that extend from his body.
Room has Wind Directional Indicators (MWAHAHAHA): Kill Earth, face the correct direction. Room is engulfed in a hurricane, you must run in the same direction as the hurricane for its 5 second duration to avoid massive damage.
Really, do we want another Wind Direction thingy. Ok fine maybe....
Room has Hurricane effect: Kill Earth. Two "rideable" tornadoes will spawn and your top dps will mount them for an insanely fun buff to help kill the Earth mob. Everyone else still has to run in the direction of the Hurricane except for the two tornado-mounted dps.
See, that would be fun and interesting. I've been finding myself zoning out everytime we enter the Vaults, this should be a refreshing change. This fight would require no CC, but all awareness. We already have the "all CC" pulls in Vortex Pinnacle.

The Hallowed!
Oh hai! Wow it's been ...TWO weeks since my last post jeez what's going on? Well, no one cares!
Hmm so when the Hallow's End events were running this is essentially what I was doing:
First few days: Doing all the necessary achievements to become "The Hallowed", which meant trading or buying getting wanded in town. Done done and done! The only thing missing for a LONG time was getting a Toothpick to drop in the trick or treat bags and since I only had time to trick or treat once a day (damn you one HOUR cooldown!), this was about a week in until it was completed.
But wait, there is another cool item that drops from this event: The QQ Horse! So we begin.
Next few days:
Log in:
Truny, queue for Horseman. Trick or Treat. Kill Horseman in 15 seconds. Open bag. Log off.

Husbrus, queue for Horseman. Trick or Treat. Kill Horseman in 15 seconds. Open bag. Log off.
This took all but 20 minutes MAX. No horses, eff you. Try again tomorrow.
A few days later.

Truny got the Horseman's Reins, excellent my main and collector got the mount. Don't have to play all my other dumb alts anymore or my Warlock until the Harvest Festival or whatever the hell they call it!
Essentially there is no meaning to playing since WoW is so focused on end-game, so what we are all 80. But with all the pre-Cataclysm changes, our characters are effectively an entire Legacy ahead of the current World. Bosses dying in FIVE seconds, HEALERs tanking and pulling. And the WORST part: Dual speccing only costs 100 gold. WHY? It's not special and expensive anymore! If anything it should cost DOUBLE since all our classes are so strong now. Penance, Thunderstorm, FELGUARD...all at level 10? Oh man! Though for new players this should put some oomph into the 1-79 boredom. Though most players would be jaded into thinking their characters are super strong, such as a level 20 warlock solo'ing RFK without breaking a sweat. Just wait till Cataclysm hits, trash mobs in RFK will have 30,000 HP.
Training Dummies. Yes even my video was at a training dummy cause I couldn't get any live action because at this point in the game, any spell that takes longer than 1.3 seconds to cast effectively is useless as most things are dead. Trying to actually SEE a full priorities rotation? Good luck, you'll need Arthas for that.
Maybe I should get into Icecrown again, I heard they removed the DODGE DEBUFF? Say what? Why? I still feel bad for having burnt out by Sindragosa as "the aaassy winds of noohthrend will consyuuume our souls!", no Defile stories for Truny.
Ok what was I talking about again? Oh well

Funny Search Terms: 2.0
At least I THINK this is 2.0. Here we go! Oh right so these are the google/search engine terms that get linked to Kluptomania and here are some that I found quite amusing.
1. "hunter or warlock for cataclysm"
In terms of fun-ness damage-ness, playability, pet styles? They are two different animals here. Are you a first time player, current hunter player, warlock, both? o_O
2. "what is gear score for (item) / gear score of (item)"
Why does it matter? You should be looking at the STATS and see how it compares to your CURRENT item in question??
3. "3.3.3 easypeasy "
Indeed!
4. "5 paladins ionar "
A daring video venture? Five paladins one ionar? Poor Ionar....so many hands all over you......
5 "best warlock heroic gear talents 3.3.3 "
Gear doesn't give you talents. Or skill.
6. "brown s&m mask"
Well, if you would like to see a digital animated version on an avatar, please feel free to buy WOTLK and acquire any non-raid cloth helm in Northrend. Thanks.
7. "does the shriveled heart ever drop anymore"
A question asked by millions I am sure.
8. "felguard "cleave off""
Right click it. Thanks.
9. "(dungeon) gearscore"
Dungeons don't have gearscores, the stuff that drops from them sort of do. I don't know I like to base it on ilvls. Whatever.
10. "hate rating shadowbolt"
I'm sure Shadowbolt infuses more hate than Incinerate, but less hate than Bane of Doom!
11. "i rolled a 2 for the nibelung"
We all know that feeling LMAO
12. "level 76 warlock gear score"
Why do you even care for gearscore at level 76 just play the goddamn game!
13. "pig-giant swirls squishies rare"
I don't uhh...ok?
14. "stop attacking darnavan!"
STOP attacking him he's for the QUEST that everyone picked up jeez!
15. "ultimate demonology warlock gear 3.3.5"
So dramatic!
16. "why would a priest roll on shriveled heart"
I am guessing the priest WON the roll. Cause it's one of the best offhands that is easily obtainable!
17. "woven her pants leggings"
Oh so close. Leggings of Woven Death?

Wait what? What patch?
Apparently patch 4.0.1 is being implemented right as I type this, and you know what? I'm not as excited as say....patch 3.3.3, or whatever that other big change patch was.
So we get to use all the new talent trees that we got to preview earlier?
Annoying. I have eight toons all with dual spec except for my Mage and Shaman (which I am having a very hard time levelling to 30). So to figure ALL those trees out, /ragequit
Chill of the Throne Removed?
What? Why? It's not like our 85K hp tanks were having any troubles?
Reforging?
Cool. But sounds annoying. I want haste.
Hunters
Turby doesn't need to waste bag space carrying ammo. Yes.
Time to go pet hunter, TWENTY pets! You already know what I'm going to do: Collect and name all twenty pets PUPPY. I think I still have a dinosaur called Nejibana, or maybe I abandoned him =(
Focus: Good. I hate mana that's un-lifetappable.
Death Knights
I refuse to tank in blood presence! It's so...RED. I think I'll make my tanking tree a DPS unholy tree now.
Druid
What's Eclipse?
Mage
Teleport? I'm seriously too lazy to find the reagant master on my mage. She only has normal mount which is SO slow I just leave her in place and log out.
Paladin
Resource bar? Holy Meter? Ok.
Warlock
New spell fly-out thingy. Good, saves me slots on my action bar to put my non combat pets LMAO
Soul Shards are officially gone. Finally. Extra bag!
That's about it. I still don't think I like how gear is being itemized in Cataclysm. It reminds me of all the USELESS green items we find +99 STR. +77 SPIRIT.
Is it really making things simpler? Is our current system really that complicated?
Say you found a staff that gives:
+105 INT
+150 STAM
+105 SPIRIT
+105 HASTE
+100 CRIT
+895 SPELLPOWER
Three Sockets
Just from looking at the stats you know that the INT is going to add to your mana pool, increase your crit by a little bit.
The STAM will add stamina. DUH.
The Spirit will increase your mana regen but also 40% of it will go into your spellpower.
The additional stats are pretty obvious.
Why do we need to condense all this in Cataclysm to:
+700 STAMIN
+650 INT
+50 MASTERY
Isn't that even more confusing and vague? What does this INT stat comprise itself of? It's a neat little package but its less transparent, see what I'm saying?
So in the future, the higher the INT and Mastery the better? Isn't that a bit boring?
Oh I have another question: Are all the gear in Cataclysm going to be BROWN (or varying shades of it), just like when we were levelling the first 10 levels and first three tiers of Northrend?
However, I did see some spoiler footage of Cata dungeon runs and they do look satisfyingly difficult, rather un-face-rollable, and requires everyone know how to manage their class....even on trash mobs! Though in that video the mage had 75K HP so....hmm......
OK BYE
Are there going to be SM Masks? Rusty swords? Are those days over?
So we get to use all the new talent trees that we got to preview earlier?

Husbrus Say What?
Dun dun dun it's been decided Truny's next project is to fund Husbrus all the way to 80!
Who is Husbrus Again?
My priest! I've been healing as a discipline priest on Husbrus and she is already 61 as we speak!
Oh the fun times traversing through RLFG (or whatever that group random thinger is called).
We're had our good-but-are-asshole tanks. We've had our bad-just-looking-to-wipe-everyone-tanks. However most tanks nowadays are competent, along with most DPS......it's really really weird and boring!
I don't know, but I think I like discipling healing more than I like restoration druid healing...I think.
I think I am so used to Power Word Shield, cause you just set it and forget it (well not really, I watch for it to disappear, and watch DoTimer for Weakened Soul to fade), I still cast Renew because of the inner druid in me, though I think this spell is used by Holy Priests more??
Then there's Holy nova! I can heal and damage at the same time OMFG! And I can jump around like a crazy while doing so! Double points!
The use of flash heal is...meh still iffy it's.....too slow! With the talent Borrowed Time, it takes 1.1 seconds to cast WTF?
Though I do miss swiftmend and wildgrowth, it's obvious those used to spamming wild growth for no goddamn reason will spam Holy Nova for no goddamn reason as well!
I'm straying off topic again, as usual.
Hitting level 60 also means a new spell: Penance.
Penance is so cool.
It's so strong. 1.7k healing crits per FWOP = ~5-6K potential heals, 3k minimum all for roughly the same mana cost as flash heal!
Talented, the cooldown is 8 seconds, much more accessible than swiftmend!
Oh I have a question. This stresses me out. Why do priests have so many effing heals?
Heal, Lesser Heal, Greater Heal, Flash Heal.
What the hell is just "Heal", and "Lesser Heal", why do they still have these spells..don't they go something like this:
Heal: Heal 500 for 300 mana 2 seconds.
Lesser Heal: Heal 100 for 200 mana 1.5 seconds
Greater Heal: Heal 2000 for 400 mana 2.5 seconds
Flash Heal: Heal 1000 for 200 mana 1.5 seconds. WTF this just made the first two spells obsolete WTF WTF??
Why does the game start us off with the most useless healing spells? Think starting off with HEALING TOUCH as a druid (LOLOLOLOLOL)
But yeah, Penance is cool. Dot dot dot.
My plan is to obtain the "dungeon" set for casters and socket 'em with epic gems, since Klupty had dozens and dozens of rubies laying around for when Truny used to upgrade her equipment like it was raining 'em back in the ICC gear days.

What If: You Were Your Own 5-man Dungeon Group?
For simplicity's sake let's restrict this to level 80 heroics. If one of your toons' has dual-spec, then they can count as TWO separate characters.
Here is my most likely 5-man composition:
Tank: Turny the Bear
Healer: Turny the Restless Tree
DPS: Truny the Warlock
DPS: Turby the Hunter
DPS: Klupty the Jewelcraft Slave Death Knight
It is quite obvious that in this group, the Death Knight is getting carried by the rest of the party members. He can barely break 3k dps, has no hit rating, and is still wearing some gnarly quest blues.
This would be the ultimate AoE team. Mangle and Swipe. Wild Growth. Seed of Corruption and Rain of Fire, Volley and Multi-shot. Howling Blasts. Heck, the Warlock and Hunter can sustain such high DPS that I might just let the DK go onto auto-walk-follow and just tag along for emblems and drops.
I tend to have this thought in the back of my head because sometimes just SOMETIMES I think "damn if only that crappy dps was my own hunter then we'd be much quicker" or "why is that dumb healer standing still, if it was Turny..."

Fastest Run I Didn't Mind
It was one of many random instances I ran while healing on Turny the Restless Patient Tree. Heroic Halls of Lightning. I accept that place. Kind of long, but acceptable. Blame it on the architecture.
Pop pop pop we all show up to the instance and we buff and what-not and our tank says "Don't heal or dps yet I'm pulling a lot, else I'll let you die" something along the lines of that anyways and I think "Ok whatever, you have 50K hp anyways" o.O
So he proceeds to pull the first two guards, then the group down the ramp, and the second group, the first group is dead by now and the charged boss is walking by with his two guards and we are now fighting the charged boss and...this is seriously easier to heal than the first piece of trash in Forge of Souls.
We pull the next two platforms down them and pull the entire elementals area along with the Forgeboss and he dies in probably 10 seconds and we pull the entire hall of Comes to Life Statues along with the elementals at the end ALONG with the Elemental boss and our tank has over 50 nature damage debuffs on him but whatever, nothing a rejuvenation can't overcome.
Same thing for the dwarf and giants area, I think I was finishing up my novel at that point and Loken goes down along with one of the giants in about 15 seconds as well.
"Good group, bye".
I like fast runs, be it if I'm tanking/healing on Turny or dps'ing on my Hunter/Warlock (I have too many toons and it takes too long to type them out EVERY time) but that's because I know they can hold their own when the shit hits the fan.
I am quite guilty of this when tanking in Halls of Stone. I hate this place on my DPS toons I have no idea why. I think its the stupid Waiting for Slow Brann to Walk to Us Part that I can't stand. Time wasted. (In a game....) I tend to pull..well...everything while spamming Swipe. My dodge is good ok!
Anyways, Turby can feign death to hold off mobs, trap them, switch aggro to his pet and kite mobs before feigning again if the mob isn't dead.
Truny is a warlock and doesn't die so she is completely fine.
Turny as a tank can heal himself and is quite resilient, and as a healer I can heal myself through 15-20 mobs bashing my branches.
HOWEVER, we need to understand that not every person you encounter is Geared To The Teeth; Yes I'm talking about YOU resto druid with agility gear! And YOU DK who made me use my brain to heal and then ditched us after Wave 1 in COS! And we still have to adjust our playstyle to accomodate everyone in the party.
Or leave. Without saying anything. Yeah, people do that too.
My recommendation is: Upon entering a Random Dungeon via being transported with the Random Dungeon Finder Tool. Wait 15 seconds after you can confirm everyone is present. Check to see if the tank actually CAN tank (if not they are already fighting the first wave). If everything is checked. Buff. I'm paranoid. And frugal. I'm not wasting 15 or so silver jeez the Random Dungeon only gives me 13 gold EVERY TIME.
On another side note I had realized Turny's gold go from 200-650 gold in just a few runs of healing!
You do not want to buff everyone and have half the party leave for no reason. That ticks me off.
Anyways, this will be the last post related to this "amazing" tool.

Bankai! New Cooldowns
"Blow those cooldowns we're finishing this"
Truny: Err...I'm a destruction warlock...I don't have any cooldowns...
Turby: Umm....I guess Rapid Fire is a cooldown...it won't help THAT much but okay....
Turny: Uhh...the damage is fine so I don't need to blow any healing cooldown aka Tranquility and I will save Nature's Swiftness thank you very much.
ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??
HOW DO WE HELP OUR FRIENDS PEW PEW MOAR?
Yes, by implementing all new cooldowns for our favourite classes and when I say our I mean MINE.
Hunter: Atomic Shot (Rank 1)
15 minute cooldown.
For 20 seconds, all of the hunter's shots become Atomic Shots dealing 5,352-7,512 fire damage every second for four seconds to all enemies in a 15 yard radius. The explosive charges stack independently so you don't have to do the shoot and wait like Lock'n Load.
There fixed.
Warlock: Cataclysm (Rank 1)
15 minute cooldown.
For 20 seconds, your threat is reduced by 90%, all stats are increased by 100%, haste, and critical chance is increased by 100% and critical bonus damage is increased by 100% and your Conflagrate spell now deals damage based on every negative debuff on the mob.
Ok good!
Druid: Life Sear Presence(Rank 1)
10 minute cooldown.
For 30 seconds, for every point of damage that you heal on your allies, 100% of the health healed (including overheal) damages the target of your ally.
Think about it, pop this cooldown throw your hots on everyone and start channeling Tranquility.
MUCH better.

Turny the Bear Tank Updates
Sorry for the stream of posts but I would forget to do this otherwise.
EMBLEMS OF CONQUEST!
Let us once again use our magical Bronze Dragonflight powers, and turn back time ohh say to July 2009.
Ooh la la, us non-part-of-a-raiding-guild-people, meaning ME had just taken a peek at the Emblem of Conquest vendor items and thought "Wow, how strong could this stuff be. It'd be nice to have a piece of this, if not just to be stronger, to have more power but have nothing to do with such power".
Once again, my Druid was sitting at level 20ish at this time. Wait really? Maybe 40s, I couldn't have gotten him to 80 so fast...hmm...anyways...
SO: Emblem of Conquests, I saved up 58 of these babies and bought a Chestguard of the Lost Vanquisher, or something like that.
Then, excited with this piece of purple word thing in his hot little paws, Turny goes and buys his T9 Feral Chest.
Whoa stop right there.
Not even his parents have TWO pieces of T8 Chests. Even though there is only one variety for Hunters and Warlocks....but.....but......I am so useful now!
I tried on this Chest, and it added a bit of Agility, and like 129 Stamina, since I was wearing some random blue chest, and some dodge which was nice.
However my emblem count went to 0 at that point and I missed them. So I returned the chest and TRIED to return the Armor Token as well and as I returned it all I got back was 5Gold.
Uhhh....oh....too bad looks like I'm keeping this after all.
So yes, Turny' s Feral set has its first "higher level" item, which is that Chest!
Actually I lie.
I had the highest possible non-raiding gear already. The H ToC leathers. ALL of them. And Marrowstrike. Well...
(I should really try it out in action. On paper it looks good but....I could fail terribly and not taunt/create aggro/tank properly)
At least it's one more "ewomfgwtfl2p blue gear" off my chest. Literally.
Ahh Blue Gears. I shall continue talking about it here as I am too lazy to start another post.
Sure you don't need Epics. As long as an item is properly itemized you are good to go. Of course if the boss hits harder than the numbers your blues generated then you might need to upgrade. You know? Ya know?
But why?
And honestly, nowadays, epics aren't so "epic". They rain and shower us with them yet we all want that 1-2% betterment. Who doesn't?
Prime Example: (Actually I have no idea what I'm talking about now)
In my healing form I was running with these Bracers. Was running the daily COS and they dropped and I realized they were better than the TOC (or wherever I got my old ones from) bracers.
Good job, that went well until I was scoping out the AH yesterday and for a measley 250G I saw under the Leather Section: This Bracer
Every single stat on it was higher than the old one. The overall average improvement in stats in the new bracers is 20%.
20% is a lot. But just for the bracers, for my character as a whole my spellpower went up by maybe 0.55% and my mana regen by maybe 1.5%.
So NOW, I can play 1% WORSE because the numbers in my new gear IMPROVE me, or I can play EVEN BETTER so that I can feel like my improvement is MORE than that 1%.
Yeah? See?
Of course it all adds up.
This makes sense, as when I first dinged 80 my Spellpower was a measley 1100. And sometimes my HoTs can't keep up and they don't do all the work for me. It was probably at the 1500 mark where they started to take over and I would run around EVEN MORE, and now at the 2200+ mark as I said before, we have FOUR dps.
The special case with those bracers, was that EVERY stat was an increase so the decision was effortless: "Buy now"
But when we lose an important stat, we begin to change our playstyles, even if you don't realize it to accomodate for it. Think on that. Let's say you traded your Crit stat completely for a Haste stat because along with the item, SP or AP had increased..hmm?
ANYWAYS BAI!
