Ever since this amazing glyph was introduced back in...Cata (?), Truny has been on a relentless quest to collect not only cloth pieces and staves/wands for herself but also exquisite two-handed weapons for Blagroon the Felguard.
If you've somehow been an avid reader many years ago you'd remember Blagroon the Felguard. Truny's trusted companion ever since becoming available as one of the high end talents in the Demonology tree when talent trees were still in style.
We've been making fast progress in "heroic" Blackrock Foundry for the past couple of weeks and what do you do when no one needs a 691 warforged 2-hander?
Give it to the crazy warlock that's what!
For whatever reason, the weapon shows up as the demonic green 670 ilvl color variation, which is actually a GOOD thing because the heroic version is actually sort of blue/aqua and clashes with my outfits!

Demonology 4.0.1: More Updates! Yeah I'm Slow!
Remember how I was talking about Demonology AOE, well I missed a VERY important factor to it: The Felguard's Felstorm.
Felstorm is BEAST. It has a 45 second cooldown, but what it does is it gives your Felguard a nice whirlwind attack that lasts for six seconds, striking everything around it for about 3.5-4.5k every second.
For that six seconds your Felguard will do about 80% of your entire Hellfire's damage. o_O
It is quite a sight to behold, especially when Meta is popped two crazy demons jumping into the fray destroying everything.
This sure beats standing back casting Rain of Fire, or shall I say Drizzle of Slightly Warm Embers.
I found Felstorm to be nice in single target encounters too, since it gives you an instant burst of damage, and given its 45 second cooldown you could probably only use it once per boss anyways.
In PVP Felstorm is nice, if a rogue stuns you just have your felguard start spinning like a crazy, that'll really annoy 'em! If they try to run away, use your felguard's new Axe Toss! (Requires Two Handed Axes apparently)
Other Stuff I found Changed
Yeah so rather than a comprehensive one page entry I am being lazy, slowly discovering things. That's where the fun is at right?
Soul Shatter: (Finally) reduces threat by 90%, yes NINETY not Fifty (50), to everything around you in 50 yards.
NINETY!
I think actually Soul Shatter was the only thing haha! Though we'll have fun with our rather reckless aoe everything to the ground style of play, once comes Cata I think we will need to rethink our game-plan. But then again warlocks don't have any CCs to help the team do we? Fear? Since when was the last time Fear did us any good? Fear and Death Coil are highly selfish CCs, you save yourself but you might have feared the mob into more mobs!
Oh well.

Demonology 4.0.1: Continued!
There has been this glitchy going around where our damage and heals done to others during instances do NOT show on the screen.
That is a lie, it actually shows but your camera has to be at an obscure angle, and only then the numbers display slantedly.
This was quite frustrating for a DPS class, we need to know how much impact each spell is doing to see if its worth casting anymore, especially after so much CHANGE!
Our AOE: Spec into moving Hellfire. THIS is your new AOE if you are a Demonologist. Again, make sure you are the bestest friends with the healer, make a great big show about putting a soulstone on them or something like that!
See, I do not read tooltips. At first I was trying to use Seed of Corruption spam, which pulled in a good 15k before, but something felt odd. "Can only be applied to one target at a time". So what you COULD do is just keep casting it on one target and having it explode. This is now weak sauce as you can not "chain" the explosions, taking advantage of the time-overlap benefit of being able to cast another seed. (That made sense to me so I don't care)
Hellfire: This ticks for about 1.5k every second for 15 seconds, it doesn't hit as hard as seed of corruption which can crit for up to 5k (it seems weaker now), but it is a constant aura that you can move and control! That is nice. You also get the benefit of activating the spell INSTANTLY on demand and it ticks right away. Nice.
Hellfire + Demonform + Immolation Aura: This is gross. I have yet to test it on anything to see the destruction this can bring.
"But who cares about DPS in trash", yeah but think about in a battleground, NOW people will think twice about walking near a giant purple demon!
And you get to run and jump around like a crazy person, just like a resto druid but all while burning your enemies to crispy cinders!
Now the random babbling part:
Ok, so is it just me or is Rain of Fire completely weak and useless now? I swear it used to crit for 5k now it is only critting for 2.5k?? Since I couldn't see the damage numbers, I had to use a lot of effort to actually click on my name in recount and READ and analyse the numbers...gawd.
Is there a talent that increases its potency in the destruction tree?
Warlockogy
Having levelled up another healer, Husbrus the Priest, she's seen her fair share of warlocks in dungeons. This was pre 4.0.1, but most everything stays the same.
It seems a lot of people are really just using their Felguard to level, but not really paying attention to the priority of their spells and how to optimize their damage while in a dungeon. If you aren't contributing 100% GTFO, this game's not about having fun its about mastering your class so you don't drag everyone behind with your stupidity.
I've seen a lot of Demonology Warlocks just sit there they'll cast their two dots then throw out shadowbolts for the entire fight.
What happened to Molten Core...or Decimation? What happened to the "OMG SEE THAT CRIT?" mentality? Is that all gone? Why WOULDN'T you want to cast a free humungo Soul Fire? Demon Form + Soulfire?
A lot of the time I'm sitting around looking pretty (I'm the healer DUH there's nothing to do really), and my warlock trained ears will hear a Molten Core proc off the warlock beside me, and I expect to see them cast three incinerates. I watch the screen (cause I am otherwise reading a book or watching the TV behind me).
Shadowbolt.
UGH.
I don't care if you don't care, but ...why did you spec into Molten Core to begin with if you're never going to use it? Did you just find a random build online and copy it? What's the point you might as well put your talent points into improved corruption since you cast THAT!
You know instead of doing 4.5k dps that fight you could have done 4.52K!! That extra 0.02k could have shaved off an average of 0.0000375 seconds off of the entire dungeon run!
Ok yeah bye!

Truny's Ridiculous Demands - Third Rendition
Oh man here we go again:
Truny has declared that the following changes be made to the Demonology Tree for Warlocks:
1) When Molten Core procs off of Corruption's damage, we glow orange, a swell of intense flames. This is purely cosmetic.
2) When Decimation Procs, we undergo 25% of the Demon transformation. (And if Molten Core procs throughout this, the quater-demon will glow orange).
All these changes save for addons and looking somewhere else.
3) If a mob is affected by Corruption, and its HP falls under 35% HP, Decimation will proc. This would probably have to be built into the talent. Then again its fair since why would you NOT proc decimation EVER? It's not like "Oh its not fair they get free Decimation when a mob is under 35%", but any smart warlock would be gauging WHICH mob would approach 35% first, and duly blast them with Incinerate or Shadowbolt? This one is iffy, but demanded nonetheless.
Hey while we're at it might as well give us EVEN more procs to look out for.
4) Burning Heart: Whenever your Incinerate hits for a critical hit, it increases your fire damage by 15% for 10 seconds.
5) Raging Soul: Whenever your Soulfire hits for a critical hit, you will automatically cast a free Incinerate for 100% crit at no cost, causing no global cooldown. NUMMY!
6) Rains of Hell: Whenever your Soulfire lands a critical hit three consecutive times (not including Raging Soul Incinerates), your next Rain of Fire is instant cast. Meaning your next rain of fire does ALL its damage in ONE cast, meaning its an instant attack unchanneled. NUMMY!
7) Demonic Fervor (Requires Felguard): When your health is taken to or below 20% you have a 33/66/100% chance to temporarily merge with your Felguard for 15 seconds, increasing armor by 1200%, immune to movement impairing effects, immune to critical attacks. You gain some unique Felguard techniques. This would be funny because even if incidental damage takes you down to 20% you might want to use this to "fortify" yourself for subsequent damage, OR you can always cancel it and continue to attack. It'll be tricky and slightly annoying.
Ok that's enough ridiculousness for one day!

Aggrolicious Warlocks
Who knew that the Demonology spec could also draw aggro pretty fast with just one ability: Shadowbolt. (Let's not even mention Soulfire yet)
Here's a scenario:
Tank: "Ok let's do this!" They pull a group of mobs and I wait to attack the one they are targetting. Corruption, Immolate (If it's a High HP Mob), Shadow Bolt Spam until I see things proc left and right.
12k crit, nice. Threat 25%. 13k crit, nice. 55% threat "say what?", 11k crit, wow three in a row 85% threat, dots are ticking 90% threat *PAUSE*
There are two things I can do at this point.
1. Continue to attack because sometimes I am just too brain-dead or lazy to MOVE my mouse ALL the way over to my Soul Shatter button, or I am too lazy to stop pushing my buttons.
Result: 100% threat, mob is on me. Usually I am Decimating by now spamming Soulfire, it should be dead within 2 Soulfires. If it's a caster, I am good, if it's a melee type I can either: Soul Shatter NOW, or Go into Demonform and take some hits and use my Death Coil.
2. Soul Shatter. Only to regain threat on the next attack.
Result: 100% threat, mob is on me. Usually I am Decimating by now spamming Soulfire, it should be dead within 2 Soulfires. If it's a caster, I am good, if it's a melee type I can either: Soul Shatter is not an option so I go into Demonform and take some hits and use my Death Coil to self-heal.
Soulfire. I love this ability, it fires off a GIANT tumbling mass of brimstone surrounded by the Fires of Hell which goes "KAPOWBOOMKABOOM" when it lands on the mob every time it hits ..if you use your imagination!
You see, back in the Destruction days, the spell priority stayed the same and there weren't ANY procs or abilities to look out for, you'd just cast the SAME spells in the SAME manner from 100-0% regardless, if your threat went too high it was because of back to back crits or the tank got killed.
Now for Demonology, I only like to Metamorphasize during boss fights since....I am too lazy, trash die too fast, and I like to "save it" for role-play purposes to exaggerate the "now's the time mutha fu*kaaaaaaaas"...( T_T...)....and.......yeah...so..
Pulling aggro during THIS part of the fight is actually quite entertaining. I'd pop the Crit Trinket I found a while ago which increases crit by 900 then decays by 20% during Decimation and see those Soulfires have their fun. Sometimes I'm too lazy to pop the trinket since that button is too far away from my mouse to click.
If at this point of the battle everyone is thinking "Ok we got this, let's cool off a bit" the Demons are thinking "DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
Aggro: 40% -- 65% -- 100% -- BOSS SMASH. Now we play the Luck Game, who dies first? I teleport back and continue Soulfire Spamming while the boss is running towards me...sometimes I die, sometimes the boss dies, all in fun and games!

Truny the Warlock Returns - Demonology
Truny has returned after an almost two month break!
From what I remember, the new changes to Demonologist Warlocks had already taken place but Truny didn't really check them out.
It's good!
A) Truny gets to use her favourite pet, the Felguard. Blagroon, the one who could dash cleave and save the squishy butts of the party!
B) Requirements for more awareness! MORE awareness! See, first we have to debuff things with our Improved Shadowbolt. Then we must make sure Corruption is always ticking since we are going to be fishing for Molten Core procs. What are those? Well Molten Core increases the damage and crit/speed for Incinerates or Soulfires. (Some may want to fire off Shadowbolts and only use Incinerate when Molten Core procs but I would rather see Incinerate).
C) Decimation. Remember when we had to go Shadow Bolt, Soulfire, Shadowbolt Soulfire. NOT ANYMORE! Now we can go Soulfire Soulfire Soulfire Soulfire and it looks something like this when you get a critting streak and various gear procs:
21,546 18,233 24,621! 9.264 (darn) 20,513 ...eep!
Remember to jump into Demon form and activate any trinkets when you see the first Decimation Proc, it's the magical buff that starts with a 9 second count. Also, remember to refresh Corruption to fish for Molten Core buffs to the Soulfires, and also to throw in a Shadowbolt to get the 5% extra crit!
This new system has a nice "Ok fuckers let's do this!" feel once you see Decimation it's all over!
Truny KABOOM!
